After the merge of Didi and Uber, the drivers in Xi’an now are planning a strike against the new regulations which will cause an 80% decrease in bonus for them.

The drivers made an agreement they wouldn’t take an orders from August 5, and they will report the drivers to the Ministry of Transportation.

Didi was founded by Tencent Group, who owns WeChat, later invested by Alibaba, the owner of Tmall and taobao. Didi and Uber announced a merge on August 1st, which creates the giant in online taxi booking market, taking over 87% share in this market.
